Creating some folders on your Android phone is nice way to suppress screen clutter and better organize your apps. I've decided to do this for my Navigation shortcuts. This way I can simply tap on a shortcut while using my Droid for navigation. Anyway, here's how to create a folder.
Press and hold the Home screen until the Add to Home screen menu pops up. Then, tap on Folders.

Then select New Folder.

Now you'll have a folder with the decidedly non-unique name of "Folder."

Since I am creating a folder to hold my Navigations favorites, I'm going to just drag and drop my shortcut right onto my new folder.

Really a nice, simple way to organize phone apps. However, "Folder" isn't going to work (probably) as a folder name. Here's how you change the folder name on your Android phone.
