The Nintendo NES Mods are really some of the greatest PC mods I've ever seen. Now, I'd say the Battlestar Gallactica mod I wrote about previously is a perhaps a more artistic creation. Perhaps, more aesthetically pleasing, would be a better way to put it. However, these Nintendo PC mods are a work of art in it their own right.
I had thoughts of recreating this myself as a functional HTPC. I even went so far as to hollow out my old and no longer functioning NES and purchase some parts. However, wanting to have the best HTPC I could have, and being concerned about whether or not I could keep this sucker cooled properly, I never followed through with the project. Still may happen. I have a couple cheap Intel Mini-itx boards w/ Atom processors sitting around. At some point I'll slap them in something and get it up and running.
