Ripping DVDs may not be new to you, but you may not be aware that when you rip a DVD to your Hard Drive, you can play those rips on your PC without converting them to MP4, AVI, ISO, etc. A lot of Media Players and Media Center apps will allow you to play these VIDEO_TS files natively, just as if the DVD itself were sitting in your optical drive.
