Burn an .iso File to Disc in Windows 7

In previous versions of Windows, burning an .iso to disc often required one or more third party applications. Now with Windows 7, you can very easily burn an .iso file to CD or DVD with the built in Windows Disc Image Burner.

Place a DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, or CD-RW into your optical drive. Browse to the folder location on your .iso file in Windows explorer. Right-click on the file and select "Burn disc image" from the drop-down.

From the Windows Disc Image Burner Window, select your disc burner form the drop down (if you have more than one installed in your PC. )
You may also choose to verify the disc by checking the "Verify disc after burning" option at the bottom.

Click "Burn" when you are ready.

If you are using a CD-RW or a DVD-RW you will be prompted to confirm that you want to erase the previous information on the disc before burning the .iso. Click "Yes" to confirm, or "No" to stop and use a different disc.

When the burning process is complete, click "Close."

Your .iso file has been burned to disc and is now ready to use.
