Ever wish to remove some the the junk in the Extras Library that you never use? If you've installed a plug-in and want it gone, you should be able to remove it completely through the Control Panel's Add/Remove programs. If you just want to hide any plug-ins for the time being or hide any of the built-in Extras, it's easily done. And if you ever want it back, it just as easy to bring it back.
Select the Extras Library tile in Windows Media Center.

Select the extras that you want to hide / remove and right click. From the pop-up menu simply select Hide.

You'll be prompted to confirm. Click Yes. Note: The location listed to "re-show" the hidden application is incorrect. It's actually Tasks > Settings > Start Menu and Extras > Extras Library.

Your extra icon will be gone. Note: This plug-in that I showed (TwitterMCE) can be totally removed through the Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs.

Unhide the Applications from Extras Library
Browse to Tasks > Settings > Start Menu and Extras > Extras Library.

You'll see the list of all applications, no just what is seen in the Extras Library. Click the item you want to enable to place a check maek in the box and then click Save.

This is a nice way to reduce a little of the clutter in the Extras library. Are there any items in the Extras Library that you'd like to display on the Extras strip on the main start menu? Check out how to do it here.
